Meet My Favorite Photographer: Rachael Rosenstein

My personal paparazzi…

If you haven’t checked out my girlfriend’s photography, Rachael Rosenstein Nature Photography, then you should.

Rachael is the reason I was on the cover of Tenkara Angler. She always travels with her Nikon D850 DSLR camera. I am happy to say that she has taken some pretty neat pictures of me on the water. Amazingly, we have already traveled to 19 states and 6 countries together since meeting in 2021.

Rachael was featured as the photographer of this cover photo. It is a picture of me fishing in the Finger Lakes, NY.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 850_0980-1.jpg
Rachael caught me removing a sakasa kebari from a wild rainbow in North Georgia in fall 2021.

If you want a look through Rachael’s lens, she has her nature and bird photographs on sale here.  She frequently has fundraisers. She donates proceeds to an organization whenever you buy a print. Her instagram is also filled with her photographs. She is easily my favorite hiking buddy. I can’t wait to explore more of the US and the world with her.

She works as the Southern basin watershed manager as part of the Catawba Riverkeeper. She inspires me every day to keep a more sustainable lifestyle. She has increased my knowledge of conservation and care for the earth. Now, enjoy some of her photographs!

These are just a few of her photographs, but be prepared for more within my blogs and such.  If you have any questions or would like to purchase a print, please feel free to reach out to me or Rachael herself on her instagram or website.

“There is an art in fishing tenkara. The way your body instinctively learns to cast the rod because second guessing often turns into flies lost in branches or missed targets on the water which frighten the fish…”
